yah yah p0rn is great - glitzkrieg

It’s worth pointing out that all of the applications that will be enabled by the AcceleratedX decision are free software applications - Compiz/Beryl and related work are all about showing what is possible at the cutting edge of free software.
[well i think a little bit of bling to users is good even if they get a little drm binary boobs blobs from nvidia and ati amd , yah we all know microsoft has some silicon graphics sgi 3d patents in their chest so that might be the reasons for the open source graphics drivers delay ,als intel > amd+nvidia combined ]

binary wireless drivers good in ubuntu feisty ? think again

Within the last 5 days we've had a critical Broadcom wireless chipset driver flaw and a D-Link wireless USB adapter flaw. Now a Netgear Wi-Fi USB driver zero-day exploit is out and there is no patch for it.

switched from edgy to feisty fawn

The floodgates for the new Feisty opened this week, with a lot of predictable changes. After the toolchain (glibc, compilers, etc.) went throught their rebuild process
[edit the edgy string with feisty fawn in /etc/apt/sources.list and did an apt-get update then apt-get dist-upgrade ]

Trading Freedom for p0rn , r00t exploits by default in feisty fawn release

Thank you ubuntu for r00t exploits by default in binary drivers , also for the new p0rn like
beryl ,aiglx , compiz.  But all i want is an stable non-r00t-able distro maybe i might consider fedora core again to install it on my main desktops borkstation64 and borkstation32.
Think again , is like thouse pesky HacktiveX controls that are installed from the web (visit some p0rn sites with ie to see what i mean)
users will push yes even if they will read the warning messages . There is no education in that , Users will ignore security if operating systems tell them to do so.
Heck some spyware will install even if you don't wan't to (no warning messages)
I can't trust in a binary blob/driver or propietary cpu.

The announcement that Ubuntu will ship binary drivers by default in Feisty is getting a lot of negative commentary from users and Ubuntu members alike. Of course, there's also a vocal contingent that complains that Ubuntu and other distros are unsuitable for general users because they don't ship with Nvidia or other binary drivers enabled

death by commitee

[Why there are 3 separate languages for the same thing ? why don't they use the java-vm ? seems to be more stable than the crappy flash vm , And yes java is used on 99% of devices (if you look in google analytics) better coverage than flash on various processors]
