Portable #Access #Database using #OpenofficeDB

if you need a compatible portable database like access you can install
from portable apps the following two applications

http://portableapps.com/apps/utilities/java_portable
http://portableapps.com/apps/office/openoffice_portable

run the installers (next next next)  and then copy the following two directories on
the usb stick

OpenOfficePortable
Java

when you start OpenOffice db

Desktop/OpenOfficePortable/OpenOfficeBasePortable.exe


You need to modify the java settings

Tools -> Options -> Java

Click Add button and add

Java

in the path and now you can create and use databases

I have tested it with wine on ubuntu karmic box and it should work on windows too
